Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a Gas Meter Technician I to join SiteWise and its operating subsidiaries. The role supports meter exchanges, relocations, testing, and related gas-meter work as an entry-level position with up to 90 days of training.

In this role you will install meters and piping, perform changes and repairs, maintain records, and ensure safe job sites. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of residential plumbing or pipe fitting experience where

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety data sheets, operating manuals, and work orders.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Basic math skills required when measuring and taking offs for jobs.

Responsibilities

• Installs gas meters, regulators, piping and pipe fitting with black iron pipe.
• Performs change-out of existing gas meters and installs upgraded meters.
• Performs gas leak repair including above ground meter sets.
• Keeps legible records including daily work logs and installation records.
• Works safely around customer locations and equipment.
