Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is looking for a Gas Meter Technician I to install meters, regulators, and piping, performing exchanges and testing in the field. The role requires basic plumbing/light construction skills, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and adherence to safety standards.

You will support meter crews and maintain accurate records throughout daily tasks. Entry level with training up to 90 days; prior residential plumbing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret safety data sheets, manuals, and work orders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Install gas meters, regulators, piping, and black iron pipe.
• Perform gas meter exchanges and testing; support construction crews.
• Maintain clean, safe worksites and complete accurate records daily.
• Assist with meter moves, relocations, and related piping tasks.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and SOPs.
