Qualifications

• 5+ years of gas and liquid measurement design experience.
• Experience with pipeline measurement and regulation facilities.
• Strong knowledge of piping, valves, fittings, meters, and measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with 49 CFR Part 192, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, AGA, API, GPA.

Responsibilities

• Design and support gas and liquid measurement facilities.
• Perform meter sizing and equipment selection.
• Size piping, control valves, relief/OPP devices, heaters, and filtration equipment.
• Work with meters (orifice, turbine, PD, rotary, ultrasonic).
• Review P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and flow diagrams.
• Develop schematics, Bills of Material, calculations, and specs.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting of measurement equipment.
• Evaluate facilities for safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Procurement, and field personnel.

We are seeking a Design Engineer – Measurement to support natural gas and products pipeline projects through engineering design, project execution, and operational support. This position will focus on gas and liquid measurement systems, including meter sizing, piping and valve selection, pressure protection, filtration, gas sampling, and related measurement equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with natural gas measurement design and be comfortable working with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Operations, vendors, and field teams. This role will also support troubleshooting, commissioning, equipment evaluations, and the development of engineering standards and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support gas and liquid measurement facilities
• Perform meter sizing and equipment selection
• Size piping, control valves, relief/OPP devices, heaters, and filtration equipment
• Work with orifice, turbine, PD, rotary, and ultrasonic meters
• Review P&IDs, mechanical drawings, flow diagrams, and fabrication drawings
• Develop schematics, Bills of Material, calculations, reports, and technical specifications
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting of measurement equipment
• Evaluate existing and new measurement facilities for safety, compliance, and efficiency
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Procurement, and field personnel
• Apply applicable DOT, ASME, AGA, API, and GPA standards
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and support project execution

Required Experience

• 5+ years of gas and liquid measurement design experience
• Experience with pipeline measurement and regulation/control facilities
• Strong knowledge of piping, valves, fittings, flow meters, and measurement equipment
• Familiarity with 49 CFR Part 192, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, AGA, API, and GPA
• Experience reading P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and process flow diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
