Job summary

Pan Capital in Houston is seeking a Trading & Financial Analyst to support Sage Mesa Marketing & Trading LLC, our physical natural gas marketing and trading business. You will work closely with the trading team, providing analytical, financial, and commercial support across trading activities, market analysis, reporting, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of accounting principles and trading systems.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Clear written and verbal communication with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Trade Validation and Reconciliation: verify daily trade activity against systems and counterparties.
• Risk and P&L Monitoring: track P&L, monitor exposure, review risk metrics.
• Operational Support: collaborate with Accounting on cash flows, margin calls, and daily workflows.
• Cross-Department Communication: serve as the primary contact between traders, risk management, compliance, and IT.
• Process Improvement: identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve reporting and automation.
• Document Support: manage counterparty documentation and warehousing agreements.
