Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground, promoting damage prevention in your community. We will train you on the job and equip you with the basic skills to be successful in our 100% paid training.

What we offer includes a pay rate of $19.00 per hour, company vehicles with a fuel card, PTO and paid Holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times per week.
• Must be able to carry up to 5 lbs of equipment; lift up to 25 lbs; occasional lift >75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, determine best method and sequence for locating.
• Use locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
