Job summary

Stake Center Locating in Illinois is seeking entry level Gas Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities and mark the ground. You will receive on-the-job training with 100% paid training and learn to operate locating equipment while working outdoors in all weather.

Role requires independence, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to work flexible hours; benefits include PTO, paid holidays, a safety shoe voucher program, a 401(k) with company match, and a company vehicle with a fuel

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day 2-3 times a week and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Train entry level Locating Technicians to think safety first.
• Use locate equipment to locate underground utilities accurately.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating sequence.
• Document tickets and communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
