Job summary

GridHawk in Lee's Summit, MO, seeks individuals for a role in gas leak inspection and damage assessment. You will be required to utilize tools and technology to ensure safety and efficiency on the worksite.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with no more than three moving violations in the last five years. The role includes physical assessments and effective communication with project management.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory background screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Detect and classify gas leaks while inspecting designated areas.

In order to obtain employment with GridHawk LLC, candidates must complete a background check. Company policy requires no violations within the last 5 years. Candidates must also take and pass a DOT drug test.

Description:

• Accurately detect and classify gas leaks while inspecting designated areas
• Locate and accurately assess the origin of damage and gas leaks
• Record and process effective data
• Utilize tools in order to effectively complete job tasks
• Use of prints, maps, and past records
• Utilize locating tools, technology, and equipment
• Effective communication with Project Management
• Daily check‑ins
• Completed reports
• Target completion

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate (Required)
• Valid driver’s license (Required)
• No more than 3 moving violations within a rolling 5‑year period (Required)
• Satisfactory background screening (Required)

Essential skills:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work smoothly with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customers
• Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices
• Working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs
• The use and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipment
• Experience using basic communication and tech devices

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkways
• Capable of lifting up to 50/75lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods
• Hand‑eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments
• Work safely outside in all weather conditions year‑round
• Occasionally work in excavation areas and roadways
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loud
