Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts seeks a supervisor to establish and manage the centralized gas leak survey program. You will supervise contractors and employees, plan work, and ensure regulatory compliance across MA/CT/NH.

The role requires 5+ years of gas distribution experience, a Bachelor's degree, and operator qualifications; travel between MA/CT/NH and emergency assignments possible. The position is safety-sensitive with pre-employment drug testing and a competitive salary range; salary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Must possess Federally required Operator Qualifications for associated tasks; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises contractor resources and internal employees.
• Oversees the work planning process including preparation and prioritization of work plans and schedules, resource and materials requirements and forecasts and coordinates with other processes for optimal resource utilization.
• Schedules and monitors work. Prepares reports on the status of the leak survey program, as requested/needed.
• Works with other stakeholders on needed leak repairs identified through the inspections in the leak survey program.
• Communicates with customers and community officials concerning leak survey related activities.
• Ensures compliance with Federal DOT Leak Survey and Meter Inspection Regulations.
• Recommends improvements to material, construction and operating standards related to Leak Management.
• Provides specifications, inspections and estimates relative to leak repair and leak survey work.
• Coordinates leak survey services to Areas as requested.
• Initiates work orders/job orders for the leaks located through leak surveys.
• Works with the Mapping Dept. to acquire maps and update mapping for leak surveys.
• Reviews and approves invoices for contractor services for leak surveys.
• Sets up and maintains electronic record keeping system for Leak Survey program
• Provides on-the-job and classroom training for Company and contractor personnel in the areas of leak survey.
• Supports extended hours and weekend assignments as required.
• Assumes on-call supervisory assignments as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and Company work rules and procedures. Understands and complies with labor contracts and works to resolve initial grievances. May initiate appropriate disciplinary action as required
