Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Mapping Coordinator for the Gas Asset Management team, with work location options in Brooklyn, Hicksville, or Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the GIS map and ensuring safe, compliant gas facility data management.

The candidate will work with Field Staff and Engineering to maintain data quality, monitor KPIs, and support continuous process improvements within Maps & Records. A GIS-related degree and ArcGIS Pro proficiency are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and maintenance of National Grid's GIS map used to access geographic data across downstate New York.
• Assist Supervisor of Mapping with training, monitoring, and developing personnel and other duties in Maps and Records.
• Assist with mapping functions performed in the field onto the GIS with attention to detail.
• Perform analytical tasks to maintain connectivity and integrity of the mapped gas facility network.
• Review, approval and post maps and records projects.
• Update backlog databases daily into National Grid GIS applications ensuring timely information delivery and safety.
