Job summary

The Gas Foreman at Mears Group, Inc. leads daily utility construction operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications.

This hands-on leadership role blends crew coaching with active field labor when required. You will manage safety programs, oversee paperwork, coordinate with customers and inspectors, and travel to job sites as needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of field experience or military equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• DOT medical card required if driving company vehicle.
• Computer skills required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily operations.
• Maintain all necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Champion safety culture: model behaviors and provide corrective action.
• Monitor site for changing safety conditions and related issues.
• Train crew members in company safety practices.
• Conduct job hazard analyses and present daily/weekly toolbox talks.
• Travel as needed.
