Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc in Lancaster, PA seeks an entry-level helper to support field operations on gas construction and maintenance tasks. Training provided; will perform gas main/service installs, backhoe/trencher operation, and related duties under supervision.

CDL within first six months is required or pursued; safety training emphasized. Primary focus on safety and on-the-job training, with progression toward Operator Qualification and Mechanic II level as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training is a plus.
• Knowledge of gas pipeline construction and equipment operation.
• Must pass SCBA test and pre-employment drug screen; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Gas main service installations and repair.
• Operate backhoe, trencher, and dump truck as needed.
• Update facilities records and percent safety compliance.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and turn gas services on.
