Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a GCS Chemical Equipment Engineer to own, commission, maintain and improve bulk and specialty chemical operations on-site. You will coordinate with operations, maintenance, design teams and vendors to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance.

You’ll lead troubleshooting, drive continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers while supporting PSM/RMP analyses and MOCs/FMEAs in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of semiconductor, oil & gas, or chemical operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with safety and hazardous materials is preferred.
• Knowledge of PSM-RMP and process safety is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own chemical systems safety and reliability with operations, maintenance, design, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical direction.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance quality, reliability, safety, and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with Fab Engineering for safety, quality and system improvements.
• Oversee commissioning and startup of new equipment installations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support MOCs, PHAs and FMEAs for PSM/RMP.
