Job summary

Novus Property Solutions Limited seeks an experienced Gas Engineer for social housing refurbishment across Wrexham to Hereford. You will handle isolation, gas pipe work, appliance reconnections, flue alterations, and roof work while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will perform gas tests and certificate issuance, working in occupants' homes with a handheld device and planned workloads. The role requires Gas Safe Registration with CKR1/CCN1/CENWAT/HTR1 where possible, NVQ 2/3 in Plumbing &

Qualifications

• Must hold Gas Safe Registration and CKR1/CCN1/CENWAT/HTR1 where possible.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating preferred; training available.
• DBS check required; working in occupied properties.

Responsibilities

• Perform gas isolation, pipe work alterations, and reconnections in social housing refurbishments.
• Complete gas flue work alterations, recommissioning, and roof work as needed.
• Conduct gas inspections and issue safety certificates; maintain paperwork.
• Work across Wrexham to Hereford area with 39-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Job description

Location: Site working covering Wrexham to Hereford and surrounding area - Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week (some travel time will be incorporated into the hours)

Experienced Gas Engineer working within the Social Housing sector, works will be: isolation's, gas pipe works alterations, reconnecting appliances, gas capping off whilst Kitchens being replaced

Gas flues and gas pipe work alterations for roof replacements, recommissioning flues

Gas inspections, producing certificates and appropriate paperwork

Individuals will need to be comfortable undertaking all aspects of domestic gas work including testing.

The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of qualifications or training held

This position require a DBS check

Working in occupied properties

Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily

Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively

Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards

You will need to hold a minimum of CKR1, CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 Certifications.

NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating, Gas Safe Registration preferred but not essential

Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.

Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.

Full UK driving license required, DBS check will be taken
