Responsibilities

• Disassemble engine components to the component level
• Follow documented procedures and standard work

• Maintain organized workflow and clean work area
• Identify and document component abnormalities during disassembly
• Support continuous improvement and 5S practices
• Communicate effectively with team members

Gas Engine Disassembly Technician

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self‑starter to join our growing team of established and successful professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Requires a mechanical or electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge various procedures and practices to be effective in meeting disassembly production cycle times
• Performs duties safely
• Use of various tools provided in the work area to perform disassembly duties to the component level
• Use of lifting devices and cranes to move components weighing more than 40 Lbs
• Follows documented procedures in standard work
• Operates industrial sized pressure washer
• Disassembles in an organized manner to maintain steady flow of components into the process
• Identifies and documents component abnormalities during disassembly
• Uses principles of 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work to eliminate waste
• Keeps tools and work area clean and orderly
• Contributing team member
• Effective communication skills

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Technical school or certification in a related discipline preferred
• Heavy equipment and industrial machine mechanical experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Experience in lean manufacturing
• Experience working in a "team environment"
• Intermediate proficiency with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
• Basic computer skills
