Ameren Illinois is seeking a Gas Distribution Gas System Operating Supervisor to direct gas field personnel and ensure rapid response to emergencies to protect the public and property. Training will occur in Decatur, lasting roughly 3 to 6 months.

The position may be located in Decatur or Pawnee, Illinois, and requires rotating shift schedules with overtime. Occasional travel may be needed to support operations across the gas system.

Formación

• Must be able to communicate effectively via phone and written communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to handle stress without affecting performance.
• Strong organization, decision-making and troubleshooting skills; PC/computer skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the scope of gas related work for the assigned Gas area(s).
• Assess availability of gas field personnel in a given Operating Center based on outage orders.
• Direct gas field personnel to respond to Emergency & Non-Emergency orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain communications with Gas Supervision in Operating Centers to address resource needs.
• Perform after-hours callouts for gas emergencies or other needs.
• Secure emergency JULIEs for gas field personnel during excavation activities after hours.
• Follow all processes and procedures for the GDSOS role; work rotating shifts; overtime and travel may be required.
