Ameren Illinois is seeking a Gas Distribution Gas System Operating Supervisor to direct field personnel and respond to gas emergencies and non-emergencies. Training will occur in Decatur and is expected to last 3–6 months.

The role requires rotating shift work, overtime, and occasional travel, with the primary goal of protecting the public and property while ensuring safe, reliable energy delivery.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five or more years of relevant experience (gas/electric distribution systems, operations, or dispatching) required.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively via phone and written to internal and external customers.
• Must be able to direct and supervise a number of diversified field activities; ability to handle stress.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the scope of gas related work for the assigned gas area(s).
• Assess availability of gas field personnel in a given Operating Center.
• Direct gas field personnel to respond to Emergency & Non-Emergency orders.
• Stay in communications with Gas Supervision to address resource needs.
• Perform after-hours callouts for gas emergencies or needs.
• Secure emergency JULIEs for field personnel after hours for excavation activities.
• Follow processes and procedures; rotating shift schedules; overtime and travel may be required.
