Job summary

City of Clearwater in Florida seeks a Gas Section Manager to oversee gas distribution operations, design and permitting, and safety training for the Clearwater Gas System.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, coordinating safety and loss control training, managing construction activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all contracts and project work. Bachelor's degree in related field and several years supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or related area and 3 years of professional level supervisory/lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages daily operations and administration functions of the Gas System.
• Coordinates, manages, and organizes safety and loss control training and related assistance; trains and assists in the development of all required licenses and certifications.
• Drafts, develops, and submits bid specifications; conducts and provides information regarding cost analysis and other factors of various jobs.
• Completes, coordinates, and checks all design work; reviews field surveys, design, and permitting; works with EOR or State/County representatives or Joint Project Agreements (JPA).
