NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP in Geneva, NY is seeking a Manager - Lead Supervisor for Gas Ops. Distribution to oversee gas construction, maintenance, safety, budgets, and mentor supervisors for leadership development and succession planning.

The role involves supervising company and contractor crews, coordinating with local agencies, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Minimum education/experience include a Bachelor’s with 6+ years, and DOT driver qualifications may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience preferred
• Associate’s with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience preferred
• High School Diploma/GED required with 10 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of gas work and construction.
• Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance, labor agreement, safety manual, leak detection methods, procedures and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of industry codes including NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA.

Responsabilités

• Plans and oversees work of gas departments. Supervises to ensure safe and efficient operation of the daily field activities of both Company and various contractor construction crews.
• Schedules the work of line or street crews. Assess the scope of projects and assigns the appropriate crew and skills balance.
• Administers damage claims and billing, leak reports, time sheets, store orders, job kitting, work order balancing, material review, compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Oversees construction office and support budget management. May coordinate department activities with local and state highway departmental officials.
• Aligns work practices to ensure maximum consistency and flexibility amongst all work groups.
• Supervises emergency restoration.
