Job summary
Mears Installation, LLC in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Gas Distribution Foreman to lead a field crew on gas main and service installation and replacement. You will own safety, planning, quality, and production every day while developing crew members, with year-round work and competitive pay.
You must demonstrate safety leadership, plan and schedule work, and have gas distribution experience with PE and steel systems.
Qualifications
- Ability to lead safety programs and enforce trench/excavation safety.
- Strong planning and scheduling to hit production targets.
- Experience in gas distribution with crews of 3–5+.
- Knowledge of PE and steel gas distribution and replacement work.
- Effective communication up and down the chain.
- Valid CDL is a plus; DOT medical card required for CMV.
- Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
Responsibilities
- Own crew safety daily: tailboards, JSA, egress, live gas hazards.
- Plan and sequence work; set daily/weekly production targets.
- Supervise gas main/service installation and replacement work.
- Direct, train, and develop crew members.
- Communicate with superintendent, utilities, and inspectors.
- Ensure quality and code compliance; track production.
- Complete daily reports and safety documents.
