Job summary

City of Lebanon Gas Distribution is seeking a general labor position to support the Gas Department in constructing and maintaining the gas distribution system. The role includes leading a crew and performing pipeline work that keeps our community safe and connected.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, valid Tennessee driver license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. This is a safety-sensitive position with responsibilities across physical labor and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of gas distribution materials and safety precautions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work with a team and maintain good public relations.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Works construction crew for laying and maintenance of gas pipelines.
• Operates light equipment such as shovels and picks.
• May operate heavy equipment like back-hoe, pavement breaker and trencher.
• Trains in plastic pipe welding techniques.
• Helps load and unload trucks.
