Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic math and English.
• Minimum 5 years in gas distribution construction/maintenance; welding with steel; plastic fusion experience.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) required and welding certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs all gas distribution work for a construction crew.
• Installs, repairs or replaces steel and plastic pipe.
• Trains, coaches and monitors crew members.
• Locates gas lines and ensures other utilities are located before excavation.
• Ensures quality welding for plastic and steel by crew members.
• Transports equipment, tools and supplies to site.
• Provides First Responder assistance in emergencies.
• Completes required paperwork and other duties as assigned.
