Job summary

Remote Jobs is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide in-house technical support via phone and email, diagnose issues, and guide customers through fixes for gas detection systems. The role includes occasional travel to customer facilities and supporting follow-up work after service visits.

You will report to the Technical Support Supervisor and help with quotes, parts, and coordination with OEMs, while staying current with CTI products and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical and mechanical understanding and the ability to learn quickly.
• Familiarity with gas detection equipment and industrial environments preferred.
• Experience with circuits, relays, PLCs, and using a DMM on 120VAC/24VDC systems.
• Willingness to learn CTI products, parts sourcing, and quoting processes over time.
• Commitment to safety and reliable workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to customers by phone and email.
• Diagnose issues, guide users through step-by-step fixes for gas detection systems.
• Escalate complex problems with clear notes to supervisors or engineering teams.
• Manage multiple requests to ensure timely resolutions and follow-up with customers.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, cases, and resolutions.
• Stay current with CTI products and relevant industry standards.
• Order parts from customer POs and share lead times with scheduling.
• Assist with service reports, quotes, and parts requests when workload allows.

Skills

Electrical and mechanical basics

High School diploma or equivalent
