Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and external customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required for teamwork and field interactions.
• Must obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs).

Responsibilities

• Accurately locates and marks company facilities.
• Reads and interprets system maps.
• Works with crews and contractors for re-marking to prevent damage.
• Investigates natural gas facility damages to determine root causes.
• Maintains relationships with excavators, municipalities, and site personnel.
• Ensures accuracy of maps and records related to damage prevention.
• Completes records and reports to comply with regulatory requirements.
• May perform C&M and service work when not performing damage prevention.
• May hold stand-by duty, shifts, holidays, weekends, and extended hours.
• Is subject to reporting outside regular work area.
• Identifies and reports safety and encroachment issues to resolution.
• Responsible for safe operation and inspection of assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Adheres to Atmos Energy values and safety program.
• Completes required safety training.
