Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of gas/damage prevention experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications within six months.
  • Requires valid driver’s license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with company systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately locates and marks company facilities.
  • Reads and interprets system maps.
  • Collaborates with crews and contractors for re-marking.
  • Conducts investigations of gas facility damages to determine root causes.
  • Maintains accurate maps and records; prepares reports to regulatory requirements.
  • Performs C&M and service work when not engaged in damage prevention tasks.
  • May require standby duty, irregular hours, and travel; may be outside regular work area.
