Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is hiring for a field-position focused on locating and marking company facilities and preventing damage to pipelines. You will read system maps, work with crews and contractors, and investigate damages to determine root causes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with two years of natural gas or related experience, plus a valid driver's license. You may work outdoors in varied weather and must adhere to safety training and company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience in natural gas, damage prevention, service, construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations.
• Must obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs) and training within six months.
• Requires valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately locates and marks company facilities (transmission & distribution systems, service lines, & other facilities).
• Reads and interprets system maps.
• Collaborates with Company crews and outside contractors for re-marking to prevent damages.
• Investigates natural gas facility damages to determine root causes.
• Maintains relationships with area excavators and municipalities involved in excavation activities.
