Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Maintenance Technician for positions in the Midland–San Angelo area. The role covers the upkeep of engines, natural gas compressors, pumps, valves, and related equipment at field sites and plants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of related maintenance work experience.
• Basic knowledge of natural gas characteristics and compressor operations.
• Ability to work 5/2 or 7/7 rotations, including overtime.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Strong communication and ability to work with teams.
• Detail-oriented with documentation of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform rounds and readings at compressor stations and plants.
• Inspect equipment, valves, and safety systems.
• Startup/shutdown of field equipment and related tasks.
• Create and complete work orders in Maximo.
• Order parts and manage inventory for work completion.
• Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout, and process safety rules.
• Collaborate with other departments for commissioning of new stations.
• Train new technicians and support environmental compliance tasks.
