Job summary

Ariel Corporation in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembler to build reciprocating gas compressors from start to finish, using blueprints, work instructions, overhead cranes, and precision tools to ensure product quality.

You may work individually or in teams across different work centers to prebuild components, prep parts for assembly, pressure test, final assemble, and paint units. A team player with mechanical aptitude and a strong eye for quality will excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Attention to detail
• Quality mindset
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment (overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.)
• Experience with manufacturing practices (ISO, safety, quality, etc.)
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Mechanical troubleshooting and diagnosing experience (engines, transmissions, etc.)
• Experience reading blueprints, build books, and following visual work instructions
• Experience working within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assemble compressors from prebuilt components following procedures
• Prebuild components and prepare parts for assembly
• Pressure test and final assemble units
• Paint units as required
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality
