Job summary

Ariel Corporation in KD1 - Newark is seeking a CNC Machinist to produce high-precision parts for world-class compressors. Work with lathes, mills, grinders, and SAP-driven dispatches. You will set up machines, select tooling, and use precision measuring tools to ensure part quality. This on-site role offers night and day shifts with a shift premium and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment (overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.).
• Experience with or knowledge of manufacturing practices (ISO, safety, quality, etc.).
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Experience reading blueprints, build books, and following visual work instructions
• 2+ years CNC machining experience

Responsibilities

• Produce high-precision parts using lathes, mills, and grinders.

• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools.

CNC Machinist

LOCATION: KD1 - Newark

Shifts:

• Monday-Thursday nights: 5pm-3:30am or 6:30pm-5am
• Friday-Sunday days: 5am-5pm; work 36 hours, get paid for 40

*Additional hourly shift premium for night shifts

Job Summary:

CNC machinists at Ariel are responsible for producing high-precisionparts that we use to manufacture the world’s best compressors. Our productionfloor includes a variety of lathes, mills, and grinders to machine cast ironand other various metals. Our machinists do everything from the initial set-upto choosing the tooling and correct programs. Quality checks are performed onevery part using precision measuring equipment to ensure the integrity of ourproduct. Production schedules work off of a dispatch list using SAP.

AtAriel, there are many opportunities within the Machine Shop. Most machinistswork individually on an assigned machine; however, some work centers are teamoriented. The type of work center you are assigned to depends on the size andtype of part you are machining. You may turn, mill, or grind parts as small asa valve cap, or as large as the frames our compressors are built around.
