Job summary

USA Compression is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain, service, and repair natural gas compression equipment across a defined territory. The role requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring uptime while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The position is fully onsite, often in remote field environments, with rotating on-call duties and travel within the service area.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating information.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote field environments.
Professional communication and customer-service skills for interactions with customers and teams.
Must provide required small hand tools per company expectations.
Use of torque wrenches and hand tools requiring up to 600 pounds of force.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment, including engines, compressors, coolers, and related components.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
Complete start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
Submit accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
