Job summary

USA Compression is seeking a Field Service Technician to service natural gas compression equipment in a field-based role across an assigned territory. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment uptime while liaising with internal and external customers.

The position requires the ability to work independently in remote field environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and provide your own small hand tools.

Qualifications

• Solid communication with field personnel, vendors and other employees.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with engines or rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and service bulletins.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Complete start-ups, shutdowns and commissioning activities safely.
• Respond to call-outs and emergencies to restore equipment functionality.
• Submit accurate maintenance, expense, and timesheet reports daily.
