Job summary
CS Power Systems, a division of Canadian Solar, is seeking a Gas & Chemical Engineer to own and optimize bulk and specialty gas systems at the Jeffersonville, IN site. You will partner with Facility Operations, EHS, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable supply and compliance with process specs.
The role covers development of maintenance strategies, risk assessments, and project support for system upgrades, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement in a high-tech PV manufacturing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevance to gas/chemical systems.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in high-tech manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial gas/chemical delivery systems and safety requirements.
- Ability to read P&ID, equipment drawings, and control diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Provide ownership and engineering support for bulk and specialty gas systems.
- Support gas cabinets, piping, detectors, alarms, and safety interlocks.
- Review operating parameters and ensure system reliability for production.
- Participate in risk assessments, MOC, and incident investigations.
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans and CAPAs.
- Coordinate with Production, EHS, and contractors for safe operations.
