Job summary
CS Power Systems in Jeffersonville, Indiana, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, seeks a Gas & Chemical Supervisor to lead safe, reliable operation of bulk gas, specialty gas, and chemical supply for PV cell manufacturing. You will manage engineers and technicians, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure continuous production.
The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and project-driven improvements in a 24/7 facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, controls/automation engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in industrial gas, chemical, semiconductor, PV cell, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing facility operations.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operation and maintenance of bulk gas, specialty gas, and chemical systems supporting PV cell manufacturing.
- Lead Gas & Chemical Engineers and Technicians; set priorities for daily operation and maintenance.
- Manage inventory, backup supply, and system capacity to support continuous production.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure systems are safe, compliant, and available; lead response to anomalies and emergencies.
- Plan and manage gas/chemical system improvements, expansions, and projects.
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs and monitor KPIs.
