Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Project Engineer in Gas Asset Management to support the development, expansion, and operation of the gas system ensuring safe and reliable service. You will work with peers to design asset management programs, support budget planning, and drive improvements across the GARMP framework.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years of related experience, with travel between MA/CT/NH and availability for emergency restoration work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance work practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable governmental codes and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of risk management principles, developing mitigation plans, and financial forecasting.
• Working knowledge of environmental requirements affecting related activities.
• Familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans and comply with regulations.
• Coordinate resources to complete processes or projects and drive program improvements.
• Develop preliminary engineering designs and collaborate across teams for consistency.
• Assist in capital planning and budget development, including cost tracking.
• Support emergency gas distribution restoration efforts and safety programs.
