Job summary

Matheson Tri-Gas is seeking a Lead Chemist in Houston to lead laboratory analysis and gravimetric blending functions. You will develop daily work schedules based on plant and customer priorities, maintain records, answer technical questions, and ensure calibration and routine maintenance are completed safely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or 3 years analytical lab experience.
• 1–3 years in a laboratory environment or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze gases for impurities and mixtures using GC and other analyzers.
• Perform statistical analysis of testing data.
• Prepare Certificates of Conformance and analysis per procedures.
• Test and certify incoming raw materials for production.
• Maintain analytical procedures and methods.
• Ensure lab supplies and calibration/maintenance are up to date.
• Assist auditors with required documentation.
