Job summary

Schlumberger Limited, formerly ChampionX, seeks a Senior Chemist to design and execute laboratory testing and analyze complex data in a small, collaborative team. Reporting to the Regional Lab Manager, you will mentor peers, drive best practices in safety and quality, and manage up to 1,000 samples per month.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in production chemistry, strong problem solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Learners must have 5+ years US Land oilfield production chemistry experience or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Experience supporting production chemistry programs for U.S. land-based oil and gas operations.
• Ability to follow SOPs, work independently, and manage moderately complex projects.
• Experience operating ICP-OES, IC, GC, XRF or equivalent instrumentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead routine and non-routine analytical testing for customer programs.
• Troubleshoot, validate methods, interpret data, and solve problems.
• Design and interpret laboratory analyses tied to field performance.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced lab.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation; ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Mentor chemists and technicians; provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with field personnel, sales, and customers to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, safety, and service.
