Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers seek a capable supervisor to lead sorting operations in our garment processing facility. You will train and supervise staff, ensure items are sorted, tagged, and priced according to policy, and help meet daily production targets of thousands of garments.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, evaluating performance, safeguarding materials, and coordinating with the work therapy program to model professional conduct for beneficiaries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory and warehouse experience preferred.
• Practical knowledge of processing and identifying clothing quality and price.
• Ability to lead, manage and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train staff in sorting operations.
• Ensure merchandise is sorted, tagged, and priced per policy.
• Maintain daily production target of at least 8,000 garments.
• Keep records of attendance, schedules, production, and inventory.
• Evaluate sorting room personnel and arrange training.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and equipment.
• Manage supplies inventory and ensure timely receipt.
• Protect jewelry and valuables collected during processing.
• Support work therapy beneficiaries with professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
