Job summary

Lakeshirts, inc. in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking a Quality Control Technician to monitor garment production and ensure quality standards. You will inspect, fold, label, and prepare orders for shipping, communicating with teammates when rework is needed.

Experience sewing is a plus; schedule is M-F, 8a-4p, pay is $15/hr. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient handling of boxes up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school education desirable, but not required.
• Basic computer experience required—Excel, Word, tablet.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
• Must be reliable and able to perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to stand 8–10 hours a day.
• Previous production experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all high post production garments for correct ink/thread colors, logo placement, labels and flaws.
• Maintain Lakeshirts acceptable quality standards per garment.
• Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/style for shipping.
• Read and understand work orders to ensure correct processing for each account.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; follow safety practices per OSHA standards.
• Identify problems and communicate safety issues; resolve where possible.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks.
• Use computer programs (e.g., Excel) to access orders and steps for each garment.
• Sewing machine experience and sewing labels on garments.
• Other duties as assigned.
