Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden seeks a part-time Guest Services Associate to welcome visitors, process tickets, and provide information about garden sites and events. You will handle cash/credit card transactions, assist with tram tours, and respond to inquiries by phone and email.

The role requires evenings, weekends, and holidays availability, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. On-demand pay and garden membership are among the perks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the public or in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.
• Comfort with handling cash and processing payments.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 30–60 pounds and work outdoors in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Process ticket purchases using a POS ticketing system or web orders.
• Issue, void, or transfer balance to MBG gift cards.
• Provide Garden information to all visitors.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email.
• Drive and narrate tram tours when directed.
• Authorize refunds and exchanges for tickets.
