Job summary

The Missouri Botanical Garden seeks a friendly, detail-oriented facilities associate to perform general housekeeping and support visitors, employees, vendors, and donors during your shift.

Under supervision, you will maintain clean public spaces, follow safety procedures, and help ensure correct waste separation. You must be able to lift 30–60 pounds, work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and present a professional attitude in a busy public environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Present a professional attitude at all times.
• Meet productivity standards.
• Ability to read instructions and understand labels on cleaning products.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 30–60 pounds.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times.
• Ensure recycled, compost, and landfill materials go to the correct containers.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents immediately to your supervisor.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned.

You will get to be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift. You may interact with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. Under general supervision, performs and maintains the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to welcome visitors to The Missouri Botanical Garden.

What You'll Do (Highlights)

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties
• Remain alert, courteous , and helpful to visi tors and employees at all times
