Job summary

Ace Hardware in Justin, TX is seeking a Garden Lead to guide our Garden Center team and ensure a vibrant, well-stocked outdoor space. You will lead part-time and seasonal associates, coordinate with buyers and the store manager, and deliver exceptional customer service for plant selections.

Ideal candidates have strong plant knowledge or gardening experience in North Texas, can lift up to 40 lbs, and are available on weekends and evenings. Flexible scheduling and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
• Strong plant knowledge or gardening experience in North Texas is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs safely.
• Comfortable working outdoors in summer heat with appropriate safety measures.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings (no later than 8 p.m.) and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Part Time and Seasonal Garden Associates to maintain a vibrant Garden Center.
• Communicate with buyers to keep plant selections and pricing seasonal and competitive.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on hiring, training, and scheduling to build a motivated team.
• Ensure daily watering, cleaning, raking, and weeding to keep the garden attractive and shoppable.
• Manage shipments of live goods, verify accuracy, and organize displays with your team.
• Provide enthusiastic and friendly customer service, assisting with plant selection and purchases.
