Costa Farms has a Garden Center Merchandiser position in Big Box Retail Garden Centers around Punta Gorda, FL!

80% of our Supervisors and Area Managers started as Merchandisers and were promoted to their current positions. You could do the same!

Job Summary:

The Garden Center Merchandiser is responsible for executing operational tasks as directed by teammates and/or the Costa Farms managers at the stores. The Merchandiser should focus on learning the necessary skills and thought processes to meet Costa Farms standards successfully.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with safety standards while working in the stores and demand the same of other Costa Farms employees.
• Exhibit high levels of productivity and accuracy while merchandising products.
• Execute tasks energetically as directed by team members.
• Learn quickly and improve execution and productivity daily.
• Complete surveys and Go Spot Check missions accurately and promptly.
• Arrive at set locations to meet with the team as needed and complete shifts consistently.
• Prepare stores for tours, meetings, and events as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to stores and personnel with professionalism, integrity, and decorum.
• Maintain a cheerful, helpful, and friendly demeanor to ensure consumers are well-treated.
• Attend meetings as requested.

Job Requirements:

• Full-time availability with flexibility to work extra hours and weekends when needed.
• Must have and be willing to use a smartphone or mobile device with apps like GoSpotCheck and UltiPro for business purposes.
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, pull, push, lift, and stretch.
• Ability to move items at floor level and overhead.
• Work in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Good interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to provide high-quality service to customers.

Performance Measures:

• 100% safety compliance, including PPE use.
• 100% completion rate for projects and tasks.
