Family Roots Nursery & Garden Center is seeking a knowledgeable, dependable Garden Center Lead to coordinate daily retail operations, guide employees, care for plants, and provide excellent customer service.

This hands-on lead position works on the floor with the team, directing priorities and ensuring work is completed to the standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant care and retail required.

What You’ll Do

The Garden Center Lead helps keep each shift organized, productive, and customer-ready. This position is responsible for directing daily garden center operations and leading staff, delivering hands‑on customer service and plant‑care expertise, and maintaining a safe, organized environment while coordinating inventory and events with management.

This is a hands-on lead position. The Lead works alongside the team while helping employees understand priorities and complete work to the expected standard.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should bring practical plant and retail experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to organize work, give clear direction, and work independently. Dependability, good judgment under pressure, and comfort with point-of-sale systems are essential.

Previous leadership, employee‑training, merchandising, inventory, receiving, or opening‑and closing experience is preferred but not required.
