Job summary

Studebaker’s Garden Center is looking for a passionate, friendly team member to assist customers with gardening needs and contribute to the store’s overall success.

You will help customers, maintain product knowledge, manage shelves, assist with plant care, operate the register, stock, and participate in events while upholding safety and teamwork. Weekend availability is helpful.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or gardening preferred but not required.
• Passion for gardening and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays and holidays.
• Good physical stamina to lift and move objects.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with inquiries, product selection, and gardening advice.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of plants, tools, soil, fertilizers, and decor.
• Keep shelves organized, labeled, and visually appealing; restock as needed.
• Assist with plant care including watering, pruning, and pest control.
• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly garden center environment.
• Assist with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and stock levels.
• Participate in promotions and workshops to educate customers and promote sales.
• Follow safety guidelines and collaborate with team to meet targets.

Thisposition offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment,assisting customers with their gardening needs and contributing to the overallsuccess of our exclusive garden center.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional customer serviceby assisting customers with inquiries, product selection, and gardening advice.
• 2. Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding ofall products available in the garden center, including plants, tools, soil,fertilizers, and outdoor décor.
• 3. Merchandising: Ensure that products are well-organized,properly labeled, and visually appealing to customers. Restock shelves anddisplays as needed.
• 4. Plant Care: Assist with the care and maintenance ofplants, including watering, pruning, and pest control.
• 5. Cashier Duties: Operate cash registers and processtransactions accurately and efficiently.
• 6. General Maintenance: Keep the garden center clean andorderly, including sweeping, dusting, and organizing inventory.
• 7. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts,receiving shipments, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• 8. Promotions and Events: Participate in promotional eventsand workshops to educate customers and promote sales.
• 9. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines andprocedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees andcustomers.
• 10. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teammembers to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customerservice.

Qualifications:
