Gertens Family of Businesses in Forest Lake, MN is hiring a seasonal team member for Spikes and Houles. The role is 20 hours/week, evenings and weekends, ASAP through Nov/Dec.

You'll care for plants, help customers, merchandise, and handle cashier duties in a fast-paced garden center. Ideal candidates are plant enthusiasts, energetic, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable with MN weather. Flexible scheduling and supportive team await.

Location: Forest Lake, MN

Seasonal: ASAP through Nov/Dec, weather depending

Schedule: 20 hours/week expected. Evenings, and weekend availability required.

What You'll Do:

• Plant Care & Maintenance: Tend to our beautiful plants by watering, deadheading, and ensuring they thrive in our greenhouse.


• Merchandising: Keep our Garden Center shed fresh and appealing by expertly organizing and displaying our plants, products, and seasonal treasures.


• Customer Care: Share your love for gardening by helping customers pick the perfect plants and offering tips to help their gardens grow.


• Cashiering: Provide excellent service at the register and help customers with their purchases with a smile!

Who You Are:

• A plant enthusiast with a passion for gardening (or eager to learn!)


• Energetic and ready to embrace the busy season with a positive attitude


• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs


• Comfortable working in MN weather conditions


• Flexible availability to work weekdays and weekends as needed
