Maryland Food Bank (MFB) is a nonprofit organization feeding Marylanders by expanding access to nutritious food. The Nutrition Specialist supports education programs across gardens, Mobile Markets, and partner sites, coordinating workshops and tracking program impact to ensure health equity and dignity for all neighbors.

The role requires a high school diploma with 3 years in education, nutrition, or related fields, and a ServSafe certification within 90 days.

Qualifikationen

• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of nutrition, food systems, and community health education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Nutrition to develop inclusive nutrition strategies.
• Lead nutrition education programs across gardens, Mobile Markets, schools, partner sites, and communities.
• Facilitate culturally responsive nutrition workshops tailored to community needs.
• Partner with the FoodWorks culinary team to offer nutrition guidance with existing and future programming.
• Train pantry and community partners on healthy food frameworks, including SWAP and Nudges.
• Collaborate with Mobile Market and Outreach teams to promote healthy options.
• Build relationships with schools, pantry partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
• Develop culturally relevant and multilingual nutrition education materials.
• Lead program evaluation through surveys, listening sessions, data collection, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate program logistics and volunteers, including scheduling and donation tracking.
