Job summary

Banko Overhead Doors, Inc. in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Garage Door Installer to join our hands-on team. You will install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial overhead doors and openers, working outdoors and using carpentry, mechanical skills, and hand/power tools.

During training, installers start at $22/hr. This full-time role offers a competitive pay scale, opportunities for advancement, and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), PTO, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanically inclined and hands-on skillset.
• Ability to work full-time outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with a clean 3-year MVR (required).
• Experience in garage doors, construction, framing, HVAC, or similar trades preferred.
• Lift 70+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead garage doors and openers.
• Use carpentry, mechanical skills, and hand/power tools.
• Drive to job sites and complete assigned work orders.
• Inspect and ensure proper function of all mechanical/electronic components.
• Communicate with customers to provide excellent service.
• Document completed work and maintain parts inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe work site and company vehicle.
