Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is seeking a dedicated installer/support role in Topeka, KS. You will work closely with teammates to provide excellent service and installation to customers in their homes and on jobsites, indoors and outdoors, while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

The position requires physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and operate forklift and hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation to work sites.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Garage door installation experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklift and hand tools including drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred.
• Ability to load and unload heavy material on/off truck and extend arms above head during installations.
• Commitment to outstanding customer experience with effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with teammates to provide excellent service and installation to customers at homes and on jobsites.
• Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather conditions.
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets).
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere to safety protocols, while wearing PPE.
• Preserve a safe and clean work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and organizing all areas.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with teammates to provide excellent service and installation to our customers in their homes and on their jobsites.
• Work both indoors and outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets)
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
• Preserve safe and clean work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and organizing all areas.

What You'll Bring

• Knowledge of garage door installation experience a plus
• Experience operating forklift and other equipment including scissor lifts, and hand tools including drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred
• Ability to load and unload heavy material on/off truck, and to extend arms above head for prolonged periods of time during garage door installations.
