Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Garage Custodian/Cleaner to maintain on-street parking equipment and perform housekeeping and basic repairs. The role is based in Downtown Lincoln and includes a full-time schedule from Thursday through Monday, 6am to 2:30pm.

The hourly wage is $16.74, and employees receive complimentary parking at LAZ-operated garages. You will perform cleaning, lighting replacement, and routine maintenance on equipment, walk routes daily to identify issues, and assist with events or

Qualifications

• Valid NE Driver's License with 2+ years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Note and report any safety condition relating to equipment or place of employment.
• Housekeeping duties: sweeping, emptying trash receptacles, mopping elevator floors, replacing lights, cleaning windows and light fixtures, cleaning and servicing parking equipment, cleaning elevator tracks, cleaning of elevator walls, periodic repainting of curbs.
• Walk assigned route daily noting and correcting any maintenance problems.
• Paint meter poles, curbs, equipment as required.
• Special help may be required for events and storms.

Spirit Of The Position

The Garage Custodian / Cleaner maintains on-street parking equipment to ensure it is in good working order through preventative repairs, housekeeping and janitorial duties, general labor and assembly.

What will you do?

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift continuously throughout a shift.
• Ability to operate machinery and vehicles.
