Job summary

Wells Fargo Center seeks a Parking Garage Maintenance Porter to keep the parking facility clean, safe, and operational. You’ll conduct routine inspections, perform minor repairs, and manage daily trash collection and surface maintenance, reporting findings to management.

The role requires staying alert in a busy environment, following safety protocols, and coordinating with staff on traffic control and incident response. Evening shifts and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems commonly found in parking garages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: inspect parking garage structures, equipment, and systems; manage trash collection and disposal; clean surfaces.
• Repair and troubleshoot: perform minor repairs to equipment such as ticket dispensers, payment kiosks, gates, and elevators.
• Safety and compliance: ensure safety regulations, fire safety, ADA accessibility, and building codes; inspect safety equipment for readiness.
• Documentation and reporting: maintain work orders, inspection reports, equipment manuals, inventory, and submit maintenance reports.
• Customer service: interact professionally with patrons; address inquiries and assist with traffic flow and lot closures as needed.

Job Description Summary:
The Parking Garage Maintenance Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of parking garage: Wells Fargo Center

Schedules: Thursday to Sunday 10pm to 3am

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance:

• Perform regular inspections of parking garage structures, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs, such as lighting fixtures, elevators, and gates
• Daily trash collection and disposal both from designated trash cans and bulk items found on daily garage walks
• Clean and maintain parking garage surfaces, including floors, walls, ceilings, and drainage systems, to enhance appearance and prevent deterioration.

Repair and Troubleshooting:

• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to parking equipment, such as ticket dispensers, payment kiosks, access gates, and elevator systems.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for parking garage operations, including fire safety, ADA accessibility, and building codes.
• Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and signage, to verify proper functionality and readiness for emergencies.
• Implement corrective measures to address safety hazards and maintain a secure environment for patrons and employees.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, equipment manuals, and inventory of supplies and spare parts.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports detailing completed tasks, ongoing issues, and recommendations for improvements to parking garage management.

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally with patrons and visitors, providing assistance and information as needed regarding parking policies, directions, and facility amenities.
• Respond to customer inquiries or complaints related to maintenance issues, addressing concerns promptly and courteously and assist management with traffic flow and lot closures on an as needed basis

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in maintenance, building trades, or facilities management is advantageous.
• Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems commonly found in parking garages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Working Conditions:

• The Parking Garage Maintenance Technician works primarily indoors within parking garage facilities, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions when performing exterior maintenance tasks.
• The position may involve working at heights and in confined spaces, requiring adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required to accommodate maintenance schedules and respond to emergency repair needs.
