Job summary

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Gaming Surveillance Operator to monitor casino gaming activities, identify suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with gaming regulations. You will use CCTV, VMS, and observation skills to document incidents and support security operations.

The role requires flexibility to cover day, swing, and graveyard shifts, familiarity with table games and poker, and prior surveillance or strong gaming operations knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Familiarity with casino table games and poker rules, betting procedures, and payouts.
• Previous surveillance experience or strong working knowledge of casino gaming operations.
• Flexible availability to work day, swing, and graveyard shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity or gaming irregularities.
• Observe casino operations across Table Games, Cage, Count Room, Slots, Poker, and Race & Sportsbook for compliance.
• Review and document incidents via written reports and investigate discrepancies or incidents.
• Operate facial recognition, license plate recognition, and access control systems as applicable.
• Collaborate with Security, Casino Operations, and external agencies as required.

THE JOB

As a Gaming Surveillance Operator, you will monitor casino gaming activities to help protect the integrity of gaming operations, identify suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with established gaming regulations and procedures. You will utilize surveillance technology to observe, investigate, and document gaming-related incidents while collaborating with Security, Casino Operations, and other departments.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Utilize CCTV technology and VMS equipment to monitor and identify suspicious activity, gaming irregularities, and potential violations of established procedures
• Monitor casino operations and personnel, including but not limited to Table Games, Casino Cage, Count Room, Slots, Poker, and Race & Sportsbook, to ensure compliance with applicable laws, gaming regulations, and established policies and procedures
• Review recorded surveillance footage to investigate incidents, disputes, procedure errors, risk management issues, theft, guest complaints and unusual gaming activity and complete required written reports regarding specific incidents
• Monitor and operate facial recognition software, license plate recognition systems, panic alarm systems and access control systems as applicable
• Perform evaluations of casino players for advantage play, game protection and suspicious activities through live observation, review and by using various game evaluation software or programs
• Cooperate with the local Gaming Authority and coordinate with and assist other law enforcement agencies as necessary
• Maintain current knowledge of gaming regulations, game rules, and company policies and procedures while ensuring strict confidentiality of Surveillance operations and sensitive information

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Familiarity with casino Table Games and Poker, including game rules, betting procedures, and payouts
• Previous experience in Surveillance or a strong working knowledge of casino gaming operations
• Flexible availability to work various shifts, including day, swing, and graveyard shifts
